GDX302 Design and application of shaders
This unit examines how user experience design facilitates the interactions between information systems and end-users. Working in groups as designers, students will analyse user interfaces and experiences to generate creative and innovative concepts they will pitch and prototype. They will design user-experiences for industries outside of the traditional gaming audience, examining serious games and the gamification of products for training and simulation.
Students will apply design-thinking principles to user-experience scenarios to ensure that human-computer interaction is intuitive and logical. They will learn to use mini maps and wire-framing to map out user-experience flow, and consolidate professional skills in teamwork, communication and the production of appropriate documentation.
