GDA204 Digital lighting and visual effects
In this subject you will learn about the physical properties of light, materials and the fundamentals of lighting design. Through a series of practical lighting studies, you will learn how to employ a range of techniques within a game engine to achieve lighting for different scenarios and applications.
You will learn how to setup lighting for interiors, exteriors and landscapes as well as props and characters for cutscenes and portfolio presentation. You will learn technical lighting skills to produce realistic lighting such as light baking, Global illumination, volumetric lighting, post processing and camera properties.
