Internship Application Form

Thank you for expressing your interest in applying for an Internship with the AIE Institute. This initiates Stage Two of the process, the full application. Hopefully you have made the most of the last few months to develop what you’ll need for this process.

Critical documents you need for this application include:

  • Cover letter (1 page)
  • Resume (1 -2 pages)
  • Portfolio (link)
  • Up to 2 referees

You can also seek support from the Work-Integrated Learning team (Chad, Jason, or Amber – Teams message preferred) who can answer questions and provide feedback if needed. Please do not contact the studio directly regarding internships: they just want to see some good applications come through when they are ready.

It is strongly recommended that you pay close attention to the project brief (if available), but at the very least undertake independent research and closely hone your application to the proposed project brief provided. Your cover letter is a great place to show your interest and passion for the project/s that the studio is working on, or the studio itself. Please pay particular attention to the responsibilities and skills section of the brief. Tentative proposals of what work you would do on such projects will show engagement and initiative and will increase your chances of being selected.

You are required to select at least one studio to apply for, and if your application is unsuccessful with your preferred Internship, you will be considered for others.

Note: by submitting your application here you give permission for us to forward your documents onto the studio to which you are applying.

Applications close 9am on Monday the 20th of April, 2026.
