We acknowledge the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung and Bunurong Boon Wurrung peoples of the Eastern Kulin who are the traditional owners of the land on which AIE Institute Melbourne stands, and the living culture of the traditional custodians of these lands. We recognise that the traditional owners have occupied and cared for this country over countless generations and celebrate their continuing contribution to the life of people who study, work and live in Docklands, Melbourne. AIE Institute celebrates diversity in all its forms and welcomes students to our harmonious and supportive environment.

Melbourne is at the forefront of games development in Australia. Since opening here in 2004, AIE has cemented its place within the local games and visual production industry as the place where studios go when looking for talented artists and programmers.

Located on the cusp of Melbourne CBD in state of the art facilities, AIE students use the latest versions of industry standard software to create games and animated film under the guidance of a friendly, industry experienced teaching staff. With the campus only a short tram ride from CBD, there are endless opportunities to experience the richness of Melbourne life, including its many international film, arts and sporting events.

Accommodation

Accommodation

Named the world’s most liveable city for the fifth year running, Melbourne has all the benefits of a metropolitan lifestyle with great public transport infrastructure, amazing food, cafes, culture, live music scene and nightlife whilst being within travelling distance of the iconic Great Ocean Road to see the world – renowned beach, Bells Beach and famous Australian scenery like the Twelve Apostles.

It’s no wonder people look at moving to Melbourne but we understand that the process of finding a place to live may be daunting so here is some suggestions to get students started. Student accommodation can be a great way to make new friends and you can try nonspecific institution residences such as Student Housing Australia and UniLodge and.

Alternatively you can utilise share housing via websites such as gumtree.com.auflatmatefinder.com.aurealestate.com.au and domain.com.au.

We are happy to put up notices on internal notice boards as our students are often looking for housemates to share with. Please come and see our friendly Student Liaison Officer if you would like to utilise this service.

Please note: we do not endorse any particular product and acknowledge that there are other valid options that are not listed here.
